| I was at the lake taking photos normally, and suddenly my screen starting going dark when I pressed the shutter button halfway. Releasing the button and it would return to normal. Pressing the button completely would result in a black "picture." Please help the boy!!

| Is the battery weak? Try removing it, wait 10-15 seconds, and then putting it back into the camera. That will cure a lot of mysterious ills in a Canon. It's roughly the equivalent of a computer doing a cold boot.

Thanks, Will. I had just activated the histogram and when I turned it off, everything went back to normal. I'm sure there is something that I did wrong, but at least I'm back in action.
