| Sorry, I only found this today. They say IPA is like the Oscars of photography. I definitely hope so, as they announced the winners last week and I got me a 1st place in the category of Special / Other, as well as 21 honorable mentions!  They've already opened for the 2008 applications. Make sure you check out the winners work, as most of it is impressive. Good luck

| Congratulations, Faisal!! I was afraid that IPA was a scam, but everybody on the net says that it is the REAL DEAL! Evidently, it is one of the most prestigious contests around. You have a lot to be proud of.

| Thank you so much, everybody. Really appreciated And yes, it is indeed the 'real deal'. I got so much exposure and press just for winning 1 first place! So many medias and people contacted me through them As for the micro/macro question, I honestly don't know. But I suggest you check their 2007 (or older) winners list and 'see' what type of work won in the micro category. That should give you an idea Even if you don't have any interest in this category, you should definitely check out the winning images. Some amazing work Thanks again everybody and all the best
