| I'm fed up of blueish B&W prints and washed out or oversaturated colour prints from the local printing stores; plus having to go there and seeing that the result is not what you expected. So I have decided that I want to print at home. Now the problem is, I don't have 500 usd to spend on a semi professional or professional printer; my budget stops at around 150 USD (tax included!!!!), so I thought I might ask before buying. I have made some research and Epson, up to now is on the top of the list. From there, PictureMate Dash - PM 260 seems to be a good deal, at least so say the reviews I've read. But if anybody has any suggestion, I will very much appreciated. I need the printer to print A4 size photos, in case I want to hang one on a wall =). Thank you very much for your recommendations, cheers to everybody, Jorge

Have you looked into the Canon Pixma printers? I have been happy with my 6600D
At school our instructor wanted us to use whcc but I told him I wanted to try printing my own. He didn't say I couldn't but tried to discourage me saying I won't get better quality than places like Walmart. When I showed him my results he was really surprised and could barely believe how nice they came out. I especially had good results with B & W.
I have since got an Epson large format printer. I know they are known to be great quality and that is most likely true but I wouldn't know because I have had all kinds of issues.
