There are times when I would like to Private Message a member, after I have seen who has taken a photo (voting window).  Maybe just to encourage, or give some additional information.  My suggestion is that we have a "hot button" or link to a private message screen from the voting window.  I really feel a need for this when the shooter is a new member and seems to be struggling a little bit.

Go when you can, go where you can, shoot what you can

In other words "Sorry ******* - it was a mistake - please don't vote all of my images down!"

Your intentions may be good .....but in practice - it just provides a quick way of apologising for your scores ..........on images that you didn't recognise as ........those belonging to one of your buddies!

What's going on here? Is DA a competition or not??

Why else would one want a quick link?? Other than for "Sucky Upy" reasons?

Surely - if an image gives you a positive buzz ......then you'll declare as much within the comments field "PRIOR" to knowing who the image belongs to!!

Does this make sense or am I "really" on a planet of my own??

If you want the rainbow - you gotta put up with the rain.

A conscience is what hurts when all your other parts feel sooooo good!

I think that a hotlink/key is a nice idea to give suggestions and encouragement to people and the suggestion was not made to be for 'suck-up' messages for buddies. The problem is that if it is easier to send messages to people while/after voting on their images it is also easier for the obnoxious voters to leave nasty little comments when they find out who it is they just gave a vote for.

It is a nice, thoughtful idea to help people out but it could create more abuse. People who want to be nasty will usually not go to a lot of effort to be nasty. People who want to be helpful will go the extra mile and look that persons profile up so they can leave an extra note of encouragement.

Stop being a dweebus ..LOL..geesh come on...some of us actually have good intentions not ill ones...

Why are you always so suspicious?

I go about my merry way hoping that those who are playing games , get a life and find out what is important someday, we all have our own path to walk and our own knowledge to find but sometimes it takes one with wisdom to pass it on to others..sometimes that way can be to let them make their own mistakes or to just keep being a good example...

You might drive yourself nuts thinking that everyone is out to get others..We mostly aren't and the few that are , well....what comes around goes around is the saying that I have witnessed truth to , over and over again throughout my life.

There are times when I get into voting and hit the number before I have commented though I did wish to comment..instead of ill will perhaps it is just a loss of brain cells from our misspent youth..lol ..

Come on ,,, it is a good idea with merit for good and not bad...It was just a suggestion as well ...and I am sure it is no biggie should the majority shoot it down..

after thinking more on it, with the new 'ignore user' feature here this could actually be a good button to have. Yes I am slightly paranoid because I have been bitten by the vampire voter but I agree that sometimes after you hit the button, an idea that could help the person pops up but there is no way to easily communicate. So I am paranoid but for the idea.
