Glynn (8/4/2008)
Comparing brainpower to cameras, eh?. Most people get by with a basic point and shoot, the luckier ones get a DSLR. However a few unfortunates, and this group includes you, end up with a pin-hole.

.

"Or maybe a disposable" as another member has suggested?

.

And yet another confides.

.

"I wasthinking that maybe he is like a DSLR, but left it on auto, forgot to take off the lens cap, forgot the memory card and battery, and is very busy trying to figure out where to insert the film"

Oh Come on Glynn - a pin-hole indeed!? LOL You slate me and indeed underestimate me...that's for sure!!! I can assure you of that!! LOL

Give yourself a shoogle Glynn and try posting a "Photo" for a change! You never know - with your trademark black background and yellow text... it may...still....get "Croney Scores"

Glynn and Photographer in the one sentence is a bit hard for some to swallow......especially those that have explored the opinions of "Real" Macro Photographers!!

To think........I used to hold you in High Regard Glynn.....and all the while......!! Tut Tut..

Also a little titalated about your DSLR comments - rather funny really! Didn't take you long to get caught up in the DSLR Snobbery thing did it? LOL

6/9 Months ago you'd have been of a different opinion that's for sure!.

As I said already Glynn - you're fooling fewer people nowadays. As a two year old filly ......you were mostly unexposed but as a four year old mare the story is very different - especially to those that have researched your form and tactics!!

The more informed that ....current and future DA members become - then all the sooner that they'll see through certain tactics and unsavoury aspects of some members.

The Knackers Yard is a Calling on you Glynn!!

Geographic Magazine?? Don't make me laugh!! They obviously saw through you too!!

Should you feel like swearing at me or getting personal then please feel free to PM me or indeed send me an E-mail. Probably for the best! I've no desire whatsover to publicly humiliate you.....despite you trying to do the same to me on numourous occasions!

If I'm to end up in the knackers yard, then so be it. But once there I'll take great solace from having achieved certain goals that you can only dream of. Top of the tree, Annual award winner, over the line with 9 etc.

.

You're constantly implying, without a shred of proof, that what amounts to collusion takes place between higher weight members. Thats ironic, because only one case of such collusion has ever been proved - and you were in it up to the neck. In fact you only escaped being ejected from the site by the skin of your teeth. Put on probation etc. How is your collusive, cheating, slimeball friend, the arch cheat Deborah Frances, these days. Do you keep in touch with your old croney. Old crone more like.

.

You refer to my trademark *OOOOO *FFFFOO - black and yellow. The fact that it has that status in your fevered imagination is solely due to the quality of the images within the frame. Try using your own colour scheme Sandy, but don't hold your breath while waiting for it to attain any status. No, do hold your breath and do us all a favour. The fact is that I have stated publicly in past threads that I always preferred things when just three colours were available - Black, White and Grey.

.

If DA is such a bad place, and you are forever making that assertion, then why don't you do yourself, and the rest of us a favour and simply close your account.

Oh Glynn - how sad you are!

We all, of course end up in the knackers yard.

I imply.... you imply. Like some of those involved in "that" world famous event - if indeed it ever happened at all - I do believe you are trying your damdest to reel me in. Give me some credit Glynn! Do I look daft?

How much real, heart-warming, satisfaction do you actually get from back-patting scoring Glynn?

I did notice that you didn't take me up on regarding your Macro shots - are they really for real Glynn???? Are we seeing them for real?

Och let's face it Glynn you incorporate every trick in the book....and then some to gain an advantage. The Black and Yellow colour coding is just one in a long line of them.

If you percieve my input on the forum as me declaring DA as a bad place then I have to admit to over-estimating your intelligence! Nothing could be further from the truth!

DA has excellent potential and on the whole I very much enjoy being part of it! However, some people are preventing it .....and the community ......from evolving and making the most of itself!

So why are they doing this?? Ultimately, because they'll get found out for what they are and lose the power that they've gained through back patting and manipulation.

If DA attracts better photographers then they are very soon put-off by those that are desperate to retain their power. Basically, the hierarchy does not approve of, nor is welcoming to Photographers that are so obviously better than themselves!

I recently joined a specialist Macro community and asked them what they thought of your "Photographs" - from 12 replies on that post - 8 declared that you were more of an artist than a photograther. The other 4 were nasty.

I also asked if they would consider joining DA to show "YOU" how its done - ALL of them declined and most stated that the main reason being that "YOU" have somehow conditioned the community into believing that your "Images" are the real thing.

It tells a huge big story Glynn!

Perhaps we ought to have a DA-RAW site? I wonder how well you would do Glynn!???

Just who is the Real Super Hero on DA Glynn?? I'm convinced more than ever that it isn't you!! Hong Kong Phoney! more like!!!

One other thing Glynn - who exactly is "The Rest of Us?" - you mean those that back pat? Is it??

Don't hold your breath (actually please do!!) that I'll close my account!! Never!!! Ever, ever!! I wouldn't give you or your Croneys the satisfaction of chasing me away....like you/they have done with soooooooo many others!

Your Kingdom "WILL" fall Glynn - the common people will eventually become informed and alert to the ducking and diving of those unsavoury characters that ultimately undermine our intelligence and try to take a rip out of us.

Evolution Glynn - of which you are not part of I'm afraid! But I guess you kinda knew that already?

Let me be quite clear. Unlike your own gratuitous invective I am merely responding to your vile innuendos. The judgment I make of your intellect is based entirely on your miserable scribblings on this site. You come across as quite a buffoon, and I would guess that most of your output is fuelled by alcohol. Surely, you're not sober when you make these attacks?

.

Your suggestion that a group of top weighted voters give one another high votes is correct. Totally correct, and not at all unusual. The top weighted are what they are because the images they collectively submit are better than average - its not just high weights who make that distinction - its also the entire site.

.

I must admit that it feels pretty lonely around here to have to argue with you, on a one to one basis, while the rest of the site act like voyeurs. Not one other voice raised against your vile rants, as if your wild claims had some substance, and I am merely as vile a person as you. Where is the so called moderator? Are you enjoying watching this slimeball impugn the integrity of the site and various members. Richard Hahn has long suffered at the hands of this creep, and many times I've read the most slanderous and defamatory remarks made against a man who has been the very backbone of the site. By a cheat who is now beginning to deny that proven fact.

.

If any of you reading this think Sandy has any positive qualities you are labouring under a misconception. He's a bitter twisted little man who hasn't got the "eye" to go beyond his present level. He knows that to be so. As a result he turns on those whose work he would covet. I don't think its fair that one should be attacked in this manner. I have worked ceaselessly to capture my subjects, taking great pains to display consistently good images. I have answered all RFC's, left many comments and generally contributed to the site in a positive manner. I would never, in a thousand lifetimes, deign to cheat myself into a position that I didn't deserve. My integrity is my most valuable possession and to have it questioned is very hurtful.

.

The use of black and yellow? Its become a habit by now. Why that scheme? I'm colour blind. Daltonism. Could never see the numbers in those bubble tests. I'm not monochromatic but reds and greens pose a problem. When it comes to framing my work I'm not prepared to make an endless choice of differing colours - I'm not that confident. I prefer the ease of one simple scheme - black and yellow fitted the bill. As I stated previously, when there was just black, white and grey, it suited me just fine.

.

It really really pains me to explain these things to you. Firstly, you have no right to question my integrity because I know that I have always acted fairly from day one. And secondly, its you that has been caught voting collusively, giving the entire site low votes and yourselves high ones. And it went on for months.

.

Something really needs to be done with you Sandy. Its getting so that visiting the site is a negative experience. I detest the fact that you can spout this constant stream of lies and innuendo with seeming impunity. Admin, the Moderators, the broader membership, all are silent while you are allowed to keep up this awful rant.

.

I will send a copy of this to Eric and ask him to do something. If you are to be tolerated further I will consider my own position. I'm just so sickened at the way you can attack innocent people and call their integrity into question and yet no one pronounces you out of order. I don't wish to be a member of any site that would tolerate you and your incessant bile.

Firstly,

Let me say I do not normally get involved in crappy comments or defamatory remarks. But.

Sunnyside Sandy,

What drugs are you on?

You come on this site with your sarcasm and heartfelt pleas for support for yourself.

We are a community of like-minded photographers. (or so I thought) I was number 1 in the Macro category for a short while when Glynn deleted all his images, (before getting the No 1 spot again) A hollow victory indeed. I want to compete with the best. The best at the moment is Glynn without doubt.

I am very pleased to be No 2 behind Glynn and welcome the challenge. One day it will be me that you are sniping at when I am No 1. But until then I welcome the respite, as Glynn is No 1. I will climb to the challenge not through sniping and winging but through perseverance and taking better photos. I as No 2 in the Macro category winners list, bow down to Glynn and aspire to get great images like his. As for being No2 I know myself that his images are far superior to mine and the results prove it. Am I bitter? Hell no, it just makes me try harder!

Sandy, Get a life and try harder.

If you put as much effort in to your photography as you do knocking others that are better than you, then you might do better yourself.!!!

Cheers

Ron

Well, I have to say that I'm sorry that you feel as you do Ron!

But, it seems as though you've been soooooked in too. Hey... the woodwork "IS" alive!!

Honest question Ron - do you do what Glynn does?? Or are you more of a real photographer?

How do you feel about being behind someone that does what he does?? Is that not frustrating to you?

If not...... then can I ask if you are here for the competition?......... or the back-patting?

Does Glynn return "the favour" to you every now and then?

With regards to you wanting to compete with the best then you're kidding yourself on Ron because the Best are soon chased away from DA. If you've not realised that then you probably don't "Really" want to compete with the best and are one of those that are content with the Status Quo!?

You said something very interesting in your spiel Ron - "bow down to Glynn and aspire to get great images like his.
