Would it be unreasonable, unpractical or unwanted if admin was to unmask all voters; and does anyone know why they can choose to be masked, and why they feel the need to be masked?

LOL, not meaning to disparage your remark but Yoda's voice came through, it did.
Thank you for the chuckle.

| I am relatively new to DA and was not aware I was unmasked until I started reading some of the forums. Since there is just the one small button, and you never what your signature looks like there may be others out there not aware.

| Comparing brainpower to cameras, eh?. Most people get by with a basic point and shoot, the luckier ones get a DSLR. However a few unfortunates, and this group includes you, end up with a pin-hole. . "Or maybe a disposable" as another member has suggested? . And yet another confides. . "I was thinking that maybe he is like a DSLR, but left it on auto, forgot to take off the lens cap, forgot the memory card and battery, and is very busy trying to figure out where to insert the film"

littlepinkone are you sure about being unmasked? I think Sandy is right about the default being masked.
