Images use to be 640 at the largest size. Can they now be 2000?This is what I get for being out of action for awhile.I read Eric's post image function.Does it do this automatically or do I have to do it?

Yes, subscribers may post images up to 2000x2000 pixels and 2mb in file size (non-subscribers 1000x1000 & 1mb). The voting window default display is set at 640 pixels and voters must option to view any larger image. Also, larger posts are at the mercy of the image resizer that somtimes fails to create the best (first impression) 640 pixel display.
.
I choose to post at the 640 pixel voting display to retain control over image resizing. I have seen more images disadvantaged by a larger display than those that have been advantaged. WE

Just to clarify, free accounts are limited to 640x640.

Also, on the vote screen, images should be resized to look as good as the original. The quality there is set to 100% JPEG (i.e., no loss). I do believe that other areas of the site send lower quality versions, but I do not think it ever drops below 75%.
