Every once in a while, DailyAwards will get stuck. A page will not completely draw in, for example. This happens most often to me on the homepage, because it is the entry port for me to the website. I always start on the DA homepage. If I navigate away from the homepage before it draws in completely, the next time I visit the homepage, my browser will sometimes fail to draw in the page completely again.

A quick fix is to hold down the shift key while clicking the refresh button. The longer term fix is to clear the cache. A browser cache will store a website page the way it was when last visited, if the page has not changed. This is usually a performance enhancement because it will redraw the page faster.... except when an incomplete page is held in the cache memory.

Clearing the cache solves the problem mentioned above. And, clearing the cache can really boost website performance. It's sort of like routine maintenance on your browser.

To clear your cache, go to "Preferences" in your browser's main menu...

Then navigate to "Advanced". Click on the "Network" tab. Look for the "Clear Now" button and click it.

This can't hurt and may improve your browser performance

A tutorial from youtube. This might be helpful. I don't know. I disavow any responsibility for MSIE adjustments. Good luck and best wishes. Continue at your own risk.

I am unable to comment, because I don't use MSIE. Lots of people do, as shown in the pie chart below showing browser market share in November 2007.

Firefox is the recommended browser for DailyAwards and is available for all platforms

Okay here is the question, will clearing the browser cache help with all of the issues?

I am not receiving email notification of wins, nor am able to alway submit forum entries without refreshing the page first, and I no longer get told that I have messages when I enter the forum and have a pm....

Just wondering ...
