I know this has been discussed before.......in an attempt to eliminate target voting. But what's to be done when a photo takes forever to load? What is a reasonable time to wait?

*

Most images come on instantly, but recently I've had images that take, honestly, minutes, and some that won't come up at all.

*

What causes this delay?

*

I've just had back to back photos that simply would not 'show up'!

OK, I've vented.................but what's the solution?

Thanks

I do not pretend to know the answer. All I can do is tell you what I would do.

1. Clear the cache on your browser. And, if you have the capacity, increase the capacity of the cache.... to 80 Mb or so.

2. 99.9% of the time, the server on which DailyAwards.com is located delivers images quickly and efficiently. Occasionally, Admin will implement upgrades to the website or conduct routine maintenance. During those times, the server could stutter and stall for awhile.

3. Some computers, especially PCs with security software in place, will balk at loading some images. There may be some cookies involved at times. So, set your browser to automatically load images. And, set your browser to accept cookies and keep 'em until you quit the browser application. I have my browser set to block pop-up windows with dailyawards.com listed as an exception.

4. And then, there are occasional Internet congestions and slowdown of service. If you call your ISP (Internet Service Provider), they will
never admit to any problem with their service. But, from experience, the most likely culprit is your branch of the Internet provided by your ISP.

Thank you Richard. I'll pretend to understand half that.
