I just want to start by saying that I mean absolutely no offense by this post whatsoever.

Firstly, I was wondering why people re-start their accounts on DA? Sorry if this has been asked before. I could understand if people were taking a different style of photographs these days and wanted to start posting those and getting rid of the last lot. Starting fresh with a different style, in short. But why on earth would someone cancel their last account just to start posting the same photographs again? I can't think of any reason other than wanting to go through the glory of awards again! Which brings me to my next point.............

If someone has won awards for a photo in the past (especially big awards like the monthly), and then restarts their account, should they be allowed to win these awards again for the same photo? Now, obviously this is not cheating by whoever is re-submitting because they already had these awards before. But what it means is other photos don't get a chance to pick up the bigger awards because of these older photos showing up again and bringing in their SECOND round of awards! There is no difference between this happening and a photo that has never been removed picking up say.... 2 annual signature awards or 2 regular monthly awards. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that when people keep re-submitting their award winning photographs they are stopping another photo from getting that award! For example- There are only 12 months in a year. Is it fair that 1 photo can pick up 2 of those monthly awards?

If you are going to re-start your account then that is your choice but please don't re-submit the same photos. All you are doing is stopping other photos from getting the awards.

Please don't take any offense by this post. I am by no means in a bad mood with anyone here. Just voicing my thoughts..... I'll even throw in these-
