There is a lot of talk going on over this topic already, I would like to add something to that, on my one photograph which started off quite well (7.5 and there about) for the first 14 votes, then it started getting lots of 6s mainly from low weighted members and some from high weighted as well, I have seen that I was twice given 5 from 2 weighted members, so I requested for comments and they were "ignored" then today I found out that member weighted 103 "ignored" the request for comment, that is simply not on. So now Eric can you make it compulsory to answer all the RFCs that come your way to ensure that all is well and fine here at DA...........

So now Eric can you make it compulsory to answer all the RFCs that come your way to ensure that all is well and fine here at DA...........This is another one of those ideas that seem pretty innocent on the surface but after implementation we would find it to be trouble. I have had people that RFC on almost every image of theirs that I rate and at some point it becomes annoying. Now you might say "Well you could just give a one or two word response"... First off it's not my style, secondly the response would be disingenuous. A forced answer to a RFC is worth the paper it is printed on. Take the responses you do get and value them, ignore the ones that don't respond, and move on. The requirement is unenforceable and the value of any response you might get is suspect. I for one, don't look forward to an avalanche of RFC's requested just as a form of harassment. Don't think it would happen? Think again, many of us have seen it happen many times.

| As much as I hate ignored RFCs, I would have the agree with Chris. I think all RFCs should be answered but once you enforce that policy, other bad behaviors will occur. I can imagine getting replies like "it sucked" or "bad image"

| I have received quite a few "blanks"!!! The annoying thing is that they show as "completed" RFC's in your image stats.

| My thoughts about RFC's .. I usually do not request unless I really would like some input from a valued member. I try to be nice about asking, so they don't think I'm after a justification. Just some simple feedback. BUT, if they dont respond, thats OK too! I understand. I dont take the ignore to heart. I'm not going to hunt you down! LOL I was taught: It never hurts to ask! Bhas... if you'd really like some feedback on your images, ask one of the members who you know, enjoy helping others, and are always happy to do so. PLace your image on the critique board, let them come to you with suggestions, feedback, and helpful information. If your RFC is ignored, try not to take it personally. Just a thought For the record: I don't ignore RFC's .. and cetainly do not condemn the ones that do.
