Sometimes, we take things for granted. A lot of what Eric does for us with his DA website is cutting edge, both in elegant design and security tightness. I was struck by this fact when I read that Bob Atkin's Photography had a hacking experience. You can read about it here.... Hacked
My point is.... our forum activity seems to be secure and insulated from the activities of the voting/competition portion of the website. So, Eric has chosen a good forum software. With regards to the contest part of the website, there has been only one episode, about five months ago, when I could not recognize my votes and comments as my own!!!! I promptly changed my password and have had no trouble since. I think this password refreshing should be a standard procedure for all.
There are hackers out there. Some mean to do harm and cause chaos. Thanks again, Eric, for providing a safe framework. We all need to take responsibility with our password security to frustrate the hackers carrying malicious intent.

Thanks for the comments. My professional life is spent in this field as well and I know that determined hackers can be difficult to stop.
Strong passwords are always a good idea. The site offers a mechanism for fetching your password should you forget it. I know there are more than a few computer minds in our community. If anyone notices any security flaws, you can send me a PM and I will address them immediately.
