Please excuse me, but I'm new here.
I'm learning how this voting thing works, but there is one question I would like to ask and it's this, When I click on an image from say one of the top 100 lists it gives me all the information I require, such as the users website, a place to leave a comment, a private comment too, if I so wish. In fact I can almost anything apart from vote for it!
Why is this?
A good photograph is one that touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it.

Wow, Lukas. Beat me to it...just as I hit reply it refreshed with your response.
To supplement his answer, it's to prevent people from going and voting on one person's images and to promote a random distribution of votes. Otherwise, everyone would just got and vote on the Top 300 photographer's pictures avoiding everyone who isn't up there yet.

... and allegedly to promote anonymity for the images that are being voted on. Where is that devil Icon??? OH NO!!! There is not one - I'll have to use the blush - you'll just have to imagine the horns!!! WE

Thanks folks, but I guessed that was the answer before I asked, but you never know, I might have missed something. I can understand the random selection, but it so frustrating to see a cracking shot and not have the opportunity to vote on it there and then. Thanks for your time
A good photograph is one that touches the heart and leaves the viewer a changed person for having seen it.
