I don't see a content problem in posting this images though I do have a problem with entering images in the contest that have been brought to the membership's attention in the forum. This forum introduction prematurely identifies both the image and the photographer and circumvents one of the primary aspects of the photo competition. One of submitting photographer anonymity during voting. WE

It was a good question...

But just to let you know...this is a family oriented website..

On one hand, I did not think the image pushed that line but on the other hand, I feel that those types of images are rarely if at all, art. But Hey That is Only My Opinion........
Just so that you know,
voters have the ability to "tag" an image as "offensive".

So if anyone were to post an image, all voters are able to tag it offensive if they feel it necessary.. Smile

Tonka, shall I open a debate issue on Art? It might be fun. [grin]

It may come as a surprise but I suspect you and I strongly disagree on what constitutes art if, as your post implies, nudity precludes art. There are few, if any, subjects that have inspired artistic interpretation more that the human form in it's natural state.

I am sorry to disappoint you but I doubt we would disagree all that much on the issue..Problem is, I have not been exposed to many images that would even come close to being artistic nudes..

Mind you I do not view this category purposefully nor often but what I have come across in my travels, by no means, constitutes art.

This issue can be debated forever. Art and what is defined as art is really subjective. I've even read an argument that porn was art. When I think of an artistic nude, it's about what's not shown rather than what is shown, but that's my opinion. I'm not sure what the Terms of Use are here at DA, but I haven't seen any offensive images yet.

I think I only saw one image that was slightly on the line but that has been it for me since having been here..

yes forever debatable Will, I would assume that you would be correct with that Smile
