 I am new to photography and would like to know what to shoot and if I can capture it properly. Even negative feedback can be productive (please be gentle). Thanks, Ralph

| I, personally, like the composition and the colors. My eye is drawn to the board or rail, in the front ,though ,I would like to focus on the whole image including the background landscape, particularly the building and blue sky. Such focus in the forefront distracts from the image as a whole.. I thought the lighting was good as well. jmo

I agree the forward board is detrimental to the image. It cuts the image into separate pieces (with the left piece of complete lack of interest since there's nothing there). Things that disect an image tend to draw your eye out of the image (eye follows lines) and forces the viewer to either give up on it or work to keep their eye in the image. Cool fence though, a slightly different angle to this shot may have turned out really nicely.
