I wold like to know that everyone thinks of this.  What not working in this image and how could it be improved?

Hey there!

First let me just say that I think your bkrnd here is absolutely gorgeous!!

Focus on the center of this bloom is very nice, the tricky thing is with Echinacea is getting the lighting right for both petal and center..Let me just say also that I think you have presented a unique composition with this and perhaps some may not find it aesthetically pleasing but I do because it is different

I think the center is just a little dark,,perhaps in editing you might be able to lighten it up but again I appreciate the detail this already has

...For me there are a couple of issues with this..

DOF imo, could be more pronounced..the petals are not distinguished from the bkrnd enough for me and they kind of meld into the bkrnd.  Also petal detail is somewhat muted though the center focus does take my attention away from that fact..

Although both bkrnd and subject colors are great, they do not go together well for me but that is just my opinion..   Like I said , Echinacea has been a total challenge for me and with that knowledge I appreciate what you did accomplish in this pic.
