Folks, I could use some advice on this image.
I had a lady contact me about taking pics of her dog. Well, this is one of them I did this evening.

Comments, suggestions...Anything helpful.

Thanks

Hey Rob!
What a fantastic sky!!! It is great but have you tried toning it down just a little? The colours are so vivid it seems to overpower the cute pooch! The pool in the background too is super! Great colours on that!

I just tried cropping off the left of the image with my hand so that that pooch is the main focus of the image. I cropped it just at the slide, to the right of the slide, and then it only has the waterfall of the hot tub on the left and right of the dog. It still has the magnificent colours of the sky but, obviously, now the main focus of the shot is the doggie!

Hope that helps!

edited...to add stuff!

I must concur with the others there Rob..very nice clarity and very dramatic.....

but you cannot have a pink chested doggie of course you knew that.....

The sky is somewhat in competition with the subject here and I am just wondering.....

dont know how much time you want to spend,,but I wonder what a little selective desaturation would like here ????

just my thoughts on it.. take em or leave em

Fortunately, it was a matter of a couple adjustments to do this to it. The masks were already there via last nights editing.
