| I am in total agreement that nature must take it's course... I just don't like seeing it... way too sad for this big heart of mine! LOL As a matter of fact, I have had to stomp so many caterpillars lately that were demolishing my plants... I'm contemplating getting on anti-depressants! I know, it's terrible! I should really get help!

| Hey why don't you buy some "decoy" plants...which they will love enough to go to and leave the others alone?.. There are actually plants I would imagine, that will turn them away as well..don't know what they are cause I didnt have to use them for caterpillars.. I know beer will attract slugs,,ya put a cup in the ground so the rim is level with the ground,,fill it half way with beer adn Waaalaaaa they come in droves but once they are in the beer they cannot get out... saves from havin the awful awful job of stompin.. .. or .....lol..using salt..

My Microbiology teacher suggested that you take some of the insects and grind them up and spray it on the plants to keep them away. I've never tried it. I have however planted peppers next to Tomatoes to keep the bugs away.
I'd call the FBI on the moles... They are familiar with how to deal with them.
(Can you hear that conversation now... Play real dumb and I bet it would be a hoot!)
Agent 99: I understand you have some information for us.
You: Yes, I'd like to talk about a mole.
Agent 99: Do I understand you correctly? You have information of a mole that may be working in the area? What information do you have regarding this matter?
You: Yes! A mole. I just recognized him for what he is. I understand you people have experience in this area?
Agent 99: Yes we do. Can you tell me exactly where he is?
You: Not precisely, but I can give you a general area, I think he went underground though. The few times I've seen him was at night.

The only drawback is that you will be audited every year for the rest of your life.
Those guys don't take a joke well.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a solution. Moles like to feed on soil grubs..... the kind that lives under your grass turf. If you exterminate the soil grubs, the moles will look for greener pastures, so to speak.
By the way, if you exterminate the moles, the soil grubs will have no predator and may destroy your lawn. So, the grubs should be exterminated first.
