En,,,did you do an article on frames yet? if not please do

I could do an article on frames. It would probably look a lot like what I wrote up there.
If you have a specific request regarding them, I could answer it and maybe at some point when I have enough information here to make an article, I can compile and post it in the article section.

Sometimes I see small pictures surrounded by thick, heavy frames and conclude that the photographer added the frame to make up for an image not being good enough to show at the full size.  Usually costs them a point.

A couple more examples of good use of frames (not my images) that IMO help the composition.

Yes. Most of the time big thick frames are distracting.
If I use a plain frame, I try to make it look like it is just a border that one might see on a print. I actually like prints with borders rather than without for some reason. Just a personal thing.

WEll I can only use PS for that..hmm I do have another program but it is way too big to have that on with all my other photo stuff..

I have tried frames but I don't know if I am just an idiot (no comment you guys:w00t or if what is in ps5 just isnt suiting my taste...I love those you posted ...cool.. I tend to like more subtle frames especially the "beveled" look...every time I have tried in ps,,I dunno it just doesnt go right.....

I would not necessarily use them here though for DA's entries but I would have use for them elsewhere..

I just wish I knew what "refuse" wink wink ,,that I could remove from my pc now to free up some memory...man I hate that. okay sorry for the stray..
