I didn't know there was that much to know about colour. I'm hoping to take some art and photography courses in the next few years. I expect that these topics will be covered in great detail. I'm one of those poor suckers who can't learn very well from reading alone. I need to have someone show me the theories and explain them. Something to look forward to for me.

RE: My Apologies

Oh , so that was yours huh ? lol....

RE: My Apologies

Thanks so much for "illuminating" the subject, aurock. I wish I could go back and vote on that particular challenge again. A very big WOOPS!! on my part. Nothing like making a huge mistake to discover something new.:P

RE: My Apologies

Hi Barb,
Yes, there is a difference between additive primary colors of light and the primary colors you were taught in school of red, blue & yellow. Hopefully this will shed some light :P

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/vision/pricol2.html

http://www.colormatters.com/colortheory.html

My Apologies

My apologies to all those members who submitted images for the Primary Colours challenge. I voted according to my belief that the primary colours are red, yellow, and blue. Is there a difference between primary colours of light and primary colours? (as in painting) I always thought that the primary colours were red, yellow, and blue. Again, if I'm wrong, I'm very sorry for scoring your images lower if they contained red, blue, and green.
