I'm sorry that I voted for so many photos in such a short period of time. Apparently it bothered you. I have a very fast cable modem that loads the pictures at very fast speeds. I have a lot of free time on my hands to sit down and vote. I didn't know there was a time limit for each photo to be viewed. I happen to enjoy looking at other people's photos. Some of the photos are absoutley beautiful. Not to be rude but you should mind your own business about how many times that I vote. Seems that you have the issue here not me. Have a nice day! :D

SnapDragon, that was my photo that you commented on. The photo has now been archived for the simple reason of the eyes not looking right. I just bought Photoshop Elements 6 and I'm hoping to learn how to make corrections to my photos before I submit them. Don't sweat it.

Snapdragon, I think that you should have received an email when she replied to your comment. That email should have the name of the image on it. You can use the search function to find that image and then, of, course, leave another message. Since time has passed and more comments left, it might be a good idea to make reference to the first comment to clarify.

Stop! Wait! As soon as someone votes more than 2900 times on the image pool, they are no longer newbies.

Once a member/user has exhausted the voting pool and placed their opinion on all the active images, less the buffer, then they are no longer newbies. And, we should hold these speed voting obsessive/compulsive types to some kind of standard. All we know about the person in question is that they don't understand retinal reflection. I always enthusiastically welcome all new members! But, people who vote with mega-speed, in such a short period of time, do need to establish their credibility with the membership... before we can discern with whom we are communing. I'm so sorry to be skeptical, but .... to paraphrase the Prez of the US ( for what he was trying to say....:) )

Connie, I don't understand what is there to help someone who was openly aggressive to you by mocking on a mistake in the writing of a sentence. Your comment was perfectly clear, and of course she might have asked to you to be more specific on what you meant by "fixed" but not to be ironic on a minor writing mistake.

The image has been archived. The image, comments, voting record and most importantly, the responses to comments are available for public display.

There are some issues here, which are important.

1. Speed voting in large quantity by the new member.
2. A vote of "7" by a heavy weighted voter on this image.
3. Response attitude to constructive criticism comments.

In my opinion, the importance of the issues above justify the link to the image.

I think that the issue , is worth a discussion..

That is a lot of images?? Even when I first began with all of my enthusiasm and desire to make it through the pool ( I did not understand for a little while about the time necessary to assess each image) I couldnt manage voting on that many images..

It really is advisable to take more time with voting..

there is 1440 minutes in a day, I just do not believe it possible that some body could stay awake long enough to do 2700 comments in 3 days,

Edited by Admin: Please no public rants against other members. Attacking an image for a newer member in public only discourages people from developing their skills.

The search function is not case sensitive. So, for example, %dog% search will return both dog and Dog[/color].

It's a powerful search function. All you need to know is the title of the photo. (You can look up the photographer, but if the image is still active but has not won an award, you won't see it in their profile. So, just search for the photo by title.)

If you don't find the image with this search function, it may have been deleted. Or, the title may have changed. Or, the image may have been resubmitted with a different title.

Otherwise, the search function works very well. One must pay attention to spelling and I think the search is case sensitive. Sometimes it's a good idea to use the wild card character %. For example, if you only know that the word dog is a portion of the title, you could enter %dog% to widen the search.

I don't think it's a good idea to have an easy method of exchanging responses on images, as some exchanges would spiral out of control[/color].

I totally understand

I recently suggested somewhere a function that let's us reply to the reply, but it doesn't exist yet.

When you get a comment email, you can click reply and it takes you directly to the shot. But if you reply, someone responds, and then you want to reply again, VERY difficult to find the same image again
