Photowalk Laguna Beach

There is another Photowalk coming up. It is a 2 1/2 - 3 hours (one way) drive for me, but I will try to go there. I love the place. It is in Laguna Beach, March 30, 2:00 pm. Hope the weather is with us this time. Here you can find some more info:

Photowalk Santa Susana Mountains

There is a photowalk coming up near where I live. http://www.photowalking.org/2008/02/17/santa-susana-mountains-photowalk/ It is planned for March 15. I plan on participating as long as it is not raining.

Anyone going to the WPPI? http://www.wppionline.com/ March 12-20 2008. I don't think that I will go, but as it is a profecional photographer show for portrait and wedding photographer I think it would be a good place to meet.

Networking & DA Promotion........

I'd love to see a DA presence on some of the social networking sites such as Myspace and Bebo.

For what purpose? Promotion of DA primarily but also so that we could post personal videos of each other saying Hi to the other DA Members.

I'd love to see if my perception of various members is anywhere near reality. :P:D

We should all be doing as much as we possibly can to promote DA, in as many avenues as possible - at the end of the day we'll all benefit.

I think Eric is the only person that can start such a presence off but I'm sure many members would join in and help make the most of it.

Just another idea. :hehe:

Just came accross the webpage Photowalking. It is a wepage/blog to orginize Photowalks. I think this is a great idea to meet other photographers and have fun as a group of phtographer walking through a city.

User group / photo outing

I got the ok from the boss (Mrs. Elsten) to float this idea, so here goes.

Who would find the idea of a 'user group' meeting at some point in the future beneficial? My idea is this: I could arrange a time / place somewhere in the world (I vote for US for buget reasons:D) and anyone who wishes can join up for a day of meet & greet and a group outing to capture some great shots. We could have some other events tied in as well, and for sure some food. Nothing too formal, just an opportunity to connect faces with photos.

Thoughts?
