Why thank you very much for that Niki,,,

that was the first thing I saw..the bk being lighter...but what could I do?..it was hot he was tired..ya know..but I did notice that..I suppose cause it was in shade,,I did try the later light but not later enough,I did try and make sure the sun was behind me too...

I knew the colors were not good.. He likes them though..it is weird now because I would have liked them before I learned some things too lol , now I am like.

No light not good, no pose , no wait...the bk is distracting lol he was getting irked...as all my family does when I start with the "issues" lol...

I really appreciate your thoughts and I like what you did with that one too...I will try and convince him to redo..

1.How do you like these?
4th is best lighting but not as good a pose.
In general I don't like them, except the 4th,
due to color issues. 2 have background elements
brighter than the subject which is pet peeve of
mine for this type of photo.

2.Need advise on color tones. (advice)
White shirt has purpley blue cast on two.
Using the white shirt or a white board to
set the white balance under those conditions
may have helped. Some skin has greenish cast.

3.What light do you advise when taking outdoor pics? lens? and for getting more light on the eye area?

Do it when sun is lower in the sky.
Use a white board to reflect light to where
you need it. Even using your flash is sometimes
good in broad daylight. Try to have subject looking up rather than down. This can help with
light and also with minimizing double-chins
(of course there are exceptions. Its just a general rule I keep in mind).

I'm not qualified to say anything at all about lenses so....ZZZZZZZZZZIP!

I meant to add that the 3rd one would've been my fave if it had better lighting on his face and his hands weren't chopped off as they are :) I like the bg of that one and the pose

Why thank you Aur.:D..really appreciate your input..

I see many things that could have been a spec better at the very least especially in the comps...but he is a flighty one...and goofy too lol...he is one you need to catch off gaurd to get natural otherwise he overemphasizes the facial expressions..it is a fun time though....but this is very hard to do if he knows you have a camera in hand...

So far I have played the Catnmouse game with him a few times...I usually end up only getting him off gaurd once or twice out of 100..lol he has ESP...me thinks..lol..

I can't really offer any advice since I'm very much at the beginning of the learning curve (particularly in terms of post-processing) but I will just give you my opinion FWIW ;) Of these 4, I like the last one the best.

You are such a Dear..:D love the visuals though those things just look very odd to me lol, not that it has anything to do with it..

I guess if I had willing helpers they could like hold a sheet up? instead..ugh..things are tough...

I don't know if I have anything else I could use...

Hey how bout holding up a red metal firetruck next to the camera and I could do like a "Hot" series...?....lol JK....

Umm I kinda didnt understand the last visual though ,,dont smack me...

and is it always probable that the flash be used?..at least for this hour of the day?..

I do think the first one does and the second not as much but a little...

I thought for the last two though,,they could use a color adjustment or something...I havent put these through PS yet because I had wanted to get advice first from you all....

Oh and I took these in the early evening..figuring that would be better lighting..around 5pm...I am not sure if this is good light for people...they came out very dark,,

even when he was facing the sun,,his face was very shaded..

I suppose it would be best not to use a white shirt for someone without portrait experience..

Am I asking the right questions?...:hehe:

Okay need some serious pointers...

I have not played with the monotone versions which I will and always do and this guy likes the look. Also I have not edited for skin tone or blemishes/spots..but I did brighten and adjusted some color levels..

So let me have it if you will...

this is the 2nd of the triplets too by the way..:D..the third looks nothing like these twins..how weird is that?...
