Qualifying votes for weekly, monthly and annual will remain the same....respectively 30, 60 and 80.

So, my message is.... don't cut yourself short. For your top 10% of your images entered into the contest... (Which should be the top 1% of all the images you capture. 10% of 1% equals your top 0.1%!!!! 1 out of 1000 image captures. If you capture 10,000 images, then we're talking about your top 10.)..... keep 'em in the contest all the way to 80 raw signature votes.

Why am I saying this? The current voting environment on the first 15 votes for your image is not necessarily representative of the entire membership's view of your image. On your most favorite images.... the ones you love the most... the ones which represent your artistic and technical excellence.... don't be discouraged by early votes. Do not archive too early. Keep 'em in the contest. Sometimes it takes a broader membership vote to elevate an image to its true status.

Compete! Hang in there! Don't archive your top 10% too early! While you're waiting for your images to attract a stable score, continue to photograph the genre you love. Good things happen to good people. This will all work out well. After all, it's growth in skill and achievement, as verified by peer recognition, which we seek. Keep on clicking!

Today's Sig. awards

I wanted to say that I browsed through today's Sig. awards and I must say what a fine group of photos!!:D

CONGRATULATIONS ALL!!!!

Great job everyone!!

Award winning notafacation

:D Is this something new ? There are some with over 150 votes that are archived. The images in question are nearly 2 years old. They also have an "n/a" when you look at the "date of the last vote".

Are these particular images eligable for the June Sig Annual?

Thanks,

Please un-confuse me LOL

OK I am fairly new at the site, recently posted a pic and noticed that there were 2 votes: 1 raw and 1 signature, both with the exact same rating. Read the descriptions of how the voting works but still wondering ;)

If a signature member votes for you does that also count as a raw vote? Or is this just a total coincidence that both voted the same rating?

Thanks peeps...in advance

Kevin K. aka Hawkeyelonewolf.....

Wow !!!:w00t:

3 Signature awards today.....CONGRATULATIONS KEVIN:D

Great job!
