It is onething to complian about the 1:1.5 ratio when you have met a 1:1 ration....  but your compliant is hollow when you cant meet a 1:1 voting ratio....  

The reality is DA will always have some casual members who upload images and leave.........   and dont care to continue.......   SOMEONE MUST MAKE UP THAT VOTING DEFICEIT......   the 1:1.5 voting ratio has the active members make up the deficit.....  

Perhaps a strict personal 1:1 ratio should be required for uploading and KEEPING ACTIVE images in the voting pool...... If your ratio falls below 1:1 all your images are immediatly archived...... this might reduce the need for the 1:1.5 ratio......

Glynn, I think that is unlikely, I have never been restricted from uploading in all the time that I have been a member of DA, however I would certainly not consider taking advantage of this and flooding the voting pool with images. I currently only have 2 active images and 98 available upload slots, I personally will not upload anything until the situation has been resolved for everyone and I'm sure other unrestricted members are doing the same.

I agree, there are many of us with high voting ratios that are limiting our active uploads to help resolve the problem.  I  have 2 active images....and have never  had more than 6 active at one time, even though I pay for membership and slots. I do not see  why it is so difficult to maintain a decent voting average...perhaps you have uploaded  too many photos to keep up with. While a 1.5 ratio may seem unfair, it is what it is and most of us deal with it.
