In the (little) free time that I've had to work on web efforts, I've created a new project:
photo-tips.org
The fundamentals of the site are in place, but more development work is needed. I'd like to invite some DA members to pop over to this project and give it a try and offer some suggestions for feedback. Please use the forum at photo-tips.org when submitting errors or suggestions.
Some info on the project
This effort is aimed only at photography learning. There is no contest at the photo-tips.org website. The core philosophy is to have one image always "in focus" (pun intended). The focused image is always the one most in need of feedback. Also, when the system gets out of balance (too many images being submitted and not enough being critiqued), it will shut down the upload page until more critiques come in.
Beyond this, you are also entitled to more active images if you get better feedback on the critiques you leave.
I hope you enjoy this new project as it is very closely related to what DA is about. If you try it out, please have some patience as I am sure people will encounter some errors until it is fully functional.

There have been a number of changes to the new Photo Tips project.
- The website url has changed from photo-tips.org to photo-tips.com
- You can now manage your critiques and articles
- The menu bugs (and a few other bugs) have been cleaned up
If there are any DA members willing to try the new site, feedback is appreciated. Please use the Photo-Tips.com forum for posting about site issues there. I would like to get the bugs ironed out before officially launching the site. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I thought I should post an update on the Photo-Tips.com website. The site was hacked on 8/25 and was unusable until this morning (8/27). The site is now restored and the security issue has been fixed. Sorry for the interruption. Please report any trouble in the Photo Tips Forum.
