I wish there was a link on the member profile page that would give you access to see the voting history of that member like you can in the image stats.

Why is alright for other members to mention another members name over the same issue that I had earlier and yet that are not edited by Admin or scolded like I have been . Even Wemor has no problem using my name over and over . We are y'all when it is other members complaining about one member voting on them and they mention their name . I don't have a problem with it because I do it . But why do I get spanked for it ? Bobby

Just curious-

How do you know it is the same person voting on the image?

The images come up randomly and a person can only vote once on a photo unless it is re-uploaded and going through over 500 images to vote down the few you dislike seems like a lot of work when you would have to do it over and over and over.

Could it just be that there is more than one person who does not like the photo? The conspiracy theory is alright but I really don't think anyone has that much free time on their hands.

I had a vote low yesterday, from an unmasked voter, and when I asked how I could improve he replied that the photo was fine. He said he gave it a high vote at first, but it came up numerous times in one voting session, and so he started voting it lower - seems I got the last vote!

Now obviously he could be trying to hoodwink me, but on the other hand he is not masked, and in the past I've had a photo come up twice in the same session - maybe a bug in the system?

He could have been causing the "Quick Vote" feature to take effect.

.

The voting software requires at least a 5 second delay between votes.  If a vote is attempted before the five sec delay, it is not accepted.  A warning message appears and the image is offered for a second vote.

.

If this voter missed the warning message, it would appear to them like the image keeps coming up for vote when in fact none of the earlier "Quick Votes" were recorded.

.

Once an image records a vote, that unique image (based on the image ID) will never reappear for the voter (it can reappear if it is deleted and resubmitted under another image ID).  WE

I guess so. But this just shows it is not fool proof, if the quick vote system was the reason then it lost me a couple of points in this particular situation. Oh well
