If you figure out there is someone in particular going down the list voting every picture in a category a 5, weather they are good or not...Am I able to block him at all?  or do I just let him vote a 5 on all my pictures in that category?  If not, is there a way of implementing such a "Block" onto the site?

I think it would give the picture poster a little bit of control on who votes on his pictures.  Its just infuriating when you Click on a 5 "MASKED VOTER" and you find all your pictures lined up one after the next getting 5's when they had been getting much better averages.

The other one is when you find someone voting  everyone's pictures down and his 10's have portuguese titles.  Every single one of them.  Am I the only one who thinks there's something funny going on?

You're certainly not the only one fed-up with their voting - it seems to be "low" on everything! I thought it was just macros they didn't like but it's obvious they just don't like "photography or competition!"

Certainly makes one wonder why they are even here .....other than to ruffle other members feathers! Very frustrating at times...especially, if you're fortunate enough to have an image doing well and then "that stinker" of a low vote comes in!

I originally thought they targeted such images - I've no doubt their scores have prevented certain images from competing for front page awards - much to their satisfaction no doubt!

If I'd to reflect their nastiness then I'd wish them a speedy fatal illness but then I guess you got to put things in perspective and shrug it all off or you'll let them send you doowally!

If it's any assurance then it's probably happening to most of us.

I'm sure Admin will notice the high scores and will take appropriate action if proved to be he case.

good to know I am not the only one.  I was starting to feel like the red headed stepchild. I want to learn, I can read their language so I ask for feedback but the one time they answered was to point out their dislike for the fruit I was using.  Anyways, thanks for your reply.  gives me some hope.

I get a lot of low votes from him as well (I think he's Portuguese because I rfc'd him once and that's the language he answered with).

I got 10 votes a couple of days ago and NINE of them were from a 2weight, masked voter - all of them were 5's. 5's for my very best current shot to my lowest ranked.

Yep ditto. I have tried just ignoring this person . I get the feeling that this behaviour is attention seeking and the person enjoys being asked to comment. Probably not one of the the brightest pebbles on the beach.

I did include the name of the member dishing out 5's like candy - it was censored. This policy of censorship at all costs is supposed to be a protective measure for the entire community. Yet one consequence is to allow members with "issues" to run amok - and we cannot discuss the matter among ourselves? We cannot name a name but instead must channel our frustrations through a report vote facility that seldom responds.

I had asked this same member numerous times for an RFC....each time it came back blank.

*

Awhile ago, this very subject was brought up, tolerance to language barriers was suggested. OK, I went with that for awhile.

*

Since then, I have used 'Babblefish' (or something akin to that name) to interpret when I ask for an RFC, and also sent this member the link so he could use it also. How is that working out? Not so well.

The below average votes continue as do the blank RFC's. This is not what I would call 'conducive' to making the site a better place.

Strange thing, I was just checking out a unusually low vote from someone and their 10 votes are for 5-6 average photos - mainly Portuguese titles - Guess he got me too!
