This am when voting..approximately 50% of the images reappear after I have voted and are available for a second a vote it seems..when I selected a rating and hit vote the second time  ..it does transition to the next image up..wondering if I am actually placing a second vote when I do this? This occured in mor than one category. I usually vote by category so that it's not a case of an image appearing say in abstract and the coming up in digital darkroom or some such as that. Thanks for any assistance or insight..I don't want it to seem as if I'm creating some strange voting pattern!

Gretchen, they have put a pacing system in place to ensure that you spend a bit of time with each image. Overall it seem like a good thing though it can be frustrating. Best I can tell it's something like 5 seconds per image.

You are likely encountering the recently implemented "SPEED VOTING" deterrent.  There is now a small delay between the times the voting system will accept the next vote.

.

There is a message that appears at the top of the voting window when this occurs.  Look for it the next time the same image appears in your voting window after a vote is cast.

.

BTW - if this does occur, your original vote is not accepted.  The second vote (after the time delay) is the vote that is registered for the image.
