I would like to thank everyone for their votes on my Jazz Artist photos which I posted in November. I had a wonderful opportunity as I was hired by Jazz Cruises LLC here in St. Louis to photograph the 2006 Jazz Cruise. It was a wonderful one-of-a-kind experience for me and I had a blast! About 1000 images later plus 2 weeks of post-processing time - they liked my images so much that I am going on the next Smooth Jazz Cruise in January (with Al Jarreau)! (And I am also invited back to next November's Jazz Cruise.)
I can't tell you what a break that has been for me. I have had all kinds of folks ask me if they could be my assistant and carry my gear. Sorry - my wife gets to do that. (I know - it's tough work, but someone has to do it).
Anyway - there are some fantastic photographers posting on this site - and a I also thank Eric for putting this great tool together for us to use. I know that it has helped my photography - and now I can say that it is more than a hobby for me.
Thanks again to all of you for your votes and advice and special thanks to Richard Hahn for all the great information he has posted to this site to help out his fellow photographers.

Wow! Randy! That is fantastic news! I have been wondering where you have been. And luckily, your excuse for being gone is going to be good enough to keep you out of trouble!  Just wonderful, wonderful news. Congratulations! I am so happy for you. And, thank you so much for sharing with us!

Am I happy for you!!, I know I personally have not helped you with your pursuit but I am just touched that you have come into such a wonderful oppurtunity..My 13 yr. old son would looooove to be your assistant too lol he is a big Jazz fan and plays well himself!! Congratulations,,,thumbs up How wonderful! Thank you also , once again, all for helping me as well!
