If you're lucky enough to have an image that is doing well as a result of its first dozen or so votes then that's really when the excitement starts kicking in.....for me anyway!

It's the Tickly Bit!

However, I feel that I'm being somewhat deprived of this on the image statistics because the image's position isn't stated until it has reached the 15 vote gate. So we all have to go looking within the top 100 to find out how close/soon we are to achieving this goal.

Multiple Tickly Bits after 15 votes would be the ultimate for the majority of us but alas - most of us only manage the one and that's if we're lucky! LOL

Would it be possible to prolong our tickly bit without us having to try so hard to get there by stating an images position after 12 votes rather than 15 as is currently the case?

Some may think that showing your load at 12 votes is a little premature but sometimes if an image is particularly exciting then it's well worthy! LOL

I'm not sure I fully understand what you're requesting. Do you mean in that confusing text part under the image on the advanced image stats page?

Yeah that's the place Eric.

If you're only waiting on a few scores to qualify for an award it would be nice to be able to see whether it is in contention or not - without having to go to another page.

Up until you've received the 15 votes it says that it's position is 0 of 450 images or whatever. If after 12 votes it stated it's current position it would be useful.

This suggestion by SS would be a welcome addition. Another way to do this might be to always show the ranking of an image within the category and also show the raw votes it has collected to date.

EXAMPLE

.

This image is ranked 396 out of 922 against all images in the category Sport on signature score and 28 out of 497 against images without this category award after collecting 2 raw votes.

.
This image is ranked 361 out of 922 against all images in the category Sport on standard score and 4 out of 473 against images without this category award after collecting 3 raw votes.

My mistake! I had that set to only look at images with at least 15 votes AND w/o the award. Now I just look at images w/o the award in that category. See if it works now.
