It is not a bad image. It seems you have not set the right setting for the WB. Also the lighting is not right as I can see the shadow on the bottle.
I was born and brought up in Iran, a beautiful country full of history. http://www.kombizz.photopoints.com

| I actually did the lighting for that purpose, to have the shadow from the corkscrew laying over the lable. i could've used the flash, but if i would've, it would've changed the whole tonality of the picture, giving it a feel other than i what i wanted. therefore, that lighting was on purpose.

Very nice! I really like the warm tone here. Really works for your photo.
I would like to see the rest of the cork that is in the bottle, it was cropped too tight.
Also, for such a busy photo, with the bottle, corkscrew and flowers, I think it would be more eye pleasing if the background wasn't as busy also.
I wish I had a suggestion for the bg, but nothing comes to mind right now. Maybe put a curtain on the window and move the chair?...not sure.

Good Luck!

Ability can take you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.

| I generally like my images to be warm, but this one is a little too warm for me, almost to the point of an undesirable yellowish tint. Sharpness and DoF are very good. I wish the cork were not cropped off at the top. Placing the subject a little off center, and maybe turning the bottle a bit to one side or the other, would give the shot a more casual appearance. As it is, with the subject centered and the bottle's label facing the camera so straight on, it looks more like an advertisement than a still life. Moving the camera down some might have eliminated the white band just above the table's rear edge on the right side, and also maybe the lighter reflection on the table. But these are nit picks. On the whole it is a very nice image worthy of an award here at DA.
