HappySnaps (6/18/2007) Richard, can I kill the grubs without using poisonous chemicals? Don't want toharm my pets or wild birds, I'm considering the effect on the kids.... JUST KIDDINGGGGGGGGG!
Ever read Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring"? You should be concerned about the environment. There is always risk in using pesticides, especially chlorinated hydrocarbons with a half life of 50 years.
That said, if you follow the label instructions on the insecticide, including the part about staying off the treated area for the required time, usually 24 hours, then you'll be okay.
Contact your state's extension entomologist! Don't take grub killing advice from a Colorado Photographer.

HappySnaps (6/18/2007) Richard, I did not enjoy that video in the least. I just about cried. Next time you have something like that to share, make sure that you include "not for Paula's eye's" in your post, K.
Yeah. My girlfriend just about cried when she saw it too.
I stopped watching nature shows because although I know it exists and that it's an integral part of the order of nature, I don't like watching videos about predation.
