I've looked at the definition and it seems a little vague....or perhaps broad is a better term. I am seeing a wide variety of shots in that category, some that appear to be a photo with perhaps a single filter applied or selective color, and others at the other end of the scale that are true digital creations....It's a little tough for me to grasp what is and isn't considered digital art here. In all honesty, some appear to be a photo, with no filters or enhancements....can anyone help me better understand this category?

Without reading the definition, which I have read in the past but don't remember exactly what it said, my personal take on this is as follows: (some will disagree and that's cool)
Digital Art = Art Created Digitally. A digital camera, a film/slide scanner, a creation from scratch in photoshop are all digital media/creations. Technically anything can go in that category, IMO.

There will be some images that are more evident that have been manipulated beyond just adjustments with levels, contrast, etc. Obviously selective desaturation as an example could definitely construed as digital art but I have also seen them in Black and White. It is ambiguous. I would say that if you think it's digital art, you are probably right. If you don't, find another category that fits better, if you can't use "Other". I think that's what other is there for.

This is subject to personal opinion as has been discussed here and there..from what I can gather is that there are some who believe a little is enough to classify as digiart and others who dont but you have options..

If you feel an image is better suited in a different category you may certainly choose to check the "wrong category" box before your vote..please do enter your thoughts on an appropriate category as it is polite and will give the photog. a better understanding of your thought..

Some will deduct from the vote for a wrong category and some will not ,,it is all your decision...

I most of the time do not but there have been a few where the entry really could not be in the correct category and have taken off for that with an explanation..but you are under no obligation to clarify your position..

The photog. is at liberty also, to delete or archive the photo and reupload into a better suited category if they so wish and/or agree...hope that helps some..
